About Project APE - Adventure Playground for Education

Project APE consists of a team of 9 university students, fundraising, designing and hand building an Adventure Playground for Education for the Light In Africa children's home in Tanzania, East Africa.

The playground will be divided into 4 areas and will focus upon educating the children whilst increasing their strength and fitness. 1st area is dedicated towards the disabled children. 2nd area is dedicated towards the toddlers. 3rd area is dedicated for the younger children. 4th area will be dedicated towards the oldest children.

Before departing to Tanzania on the 20th July, the team aim to raise £9,000. Our budget for the materials and tools to build the playground is £7,000. Along as we do not exceed our budget for the playground then we will spend the remaining £2,000 on food, cloths, education and dispersing medicine to the local community.
